How to use the historical gazetteer
The gazetteer links current municipality names with their Czech, German, Polish, Slovak, and Latin variants. It helps identify locations found in registers, chronicles, maps, and other historical sources. The data is based on Wikidata and should be verified against contemporary and archival context before scholarly use.
