PublishedProjects
Project files, the tree, properties and change history.
Project properties
File → Project properties… provides the project name, report subtitle, author or administrator, organisation, address and contact details. It also shows creation and last modification dates and authors. The name cannot be empty.
Tree and nodes
Projects contain module nodes and subfolders. Add folder and Remove folder are available only where the node type allows them. Some nodes are fixed parts of their module and cannot be removed.
- Select the parent node.
- Choose Edit → Add folder or its context menu equivalent.
- Enter the name directly in the tree.
Removal may affect linked data; follow the confirmation dialog.
Research aids
Manage optional databases through Tools → Research aids. They are available to all editions, including Free, without signing in. Select the items to download. Their nodes appear in the tree after installation. An error or cancellation preserves the previous installation.
The manager can remove a local aid and download it again later. Heraldic templates have a separate catalogue under Heraldry, from which templates can be dragged into a reconstruction. Personal templates are separate and survive catalogue removal. Availability on the server does not mean an older application supports every new component type.
Selected object properties
Properties changes with the selection in the tree or active view. Some source attributes are read-only and inherited from the parent multimedia folder. Confirm editable values with Enter or by leaving the editor.
Undo and Redo
Data changes are recorded in operation history. Use Undo and Redo; clicking a history item alone does not execute an undo.
Formatted notes
Multiline notes in Properties open a shared editor with bold, italic, underline, lists and links. Pasted content is inserted as plain text. Cancel leaves the content unchanged; confirmed changes can be undone. This does not change the specialised diplomatic transcription editors.
