User interface

Main menus

• File: create, open, save, import and export projects; project properties and closing.
• Edit: Undo, Redo, add and remove folders, and Settings.
• Tools: templates and the HTR models… manager.
• Modules: module commands; Genealogy adds diagrams, reports, connections and import/export.
• View: multimedia mode, panel visibility and toolbar configuration.
• Window: tabs or subwindows, window arrangement, closing the active view and listing open windows.
• Help: send feedback and view application information.

Project tree

Double-click a node or choose Show data to open its view. The context menu depends on node type and may offer import, report or diagram creation, adding a subfolder and removal. Commands depend on the current selection.

Workspace tabs and subwindows

Under Window, switch between Tabbed view and Subwindow view. Subwindow mode offers Tile, Tile horizontally, Tile vertically and Cascade. The open windows dialog helps find and activate a particular view.

Panels

Project tree determines project context. Properties shows attributes of the selected node or object. Operation history lists reversible changes; use Undo and Redo to actually move through the history.

Toolbars and search

Change toolbar visibility and contents through View → Toolbars…. Search uses the application shortcut listed in Keyboard shortcuts. The searchable data varies by module and requires verification in the application.
